She first studied mosaics then watercolour and oil in Barcelona before moving back to England and starting printmaking in 1995. From this background she has developed a complex method of printing using many plates and creating layers through the devices of stencil, monotype and chine colle. These multi-layered images with classical and literary illusion hope to convey an intangible essence of the past and a glimpse into a mysterious and ancient world.
